He retired in 2016. Jim was a member of the Bellewood church, and became a member of Hope when the churches merged. He began serving as a deacon in 2017, and as an elder in 2021.
CHRIS LABONTE
Elder
(B.A., Ancient Languages - Wheaton College; Post Baccalaureate Cert., Classics - UCLA)
Chris was raised in a loving, Christian family in Southern California and became a member in the PCA as an adult in 2008. He is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Meredith, and is humbled and grateful to be a father to their four children. Chris loves living in the Pacific Northwest, and his favorite things include wearing flannel shirts, roasting/drinking coffee, playing the guitar, and watching the Sounders. His earnest prayer for the people of Hope is that they would come to know and love Jesus more deeply as they continue to see and experience the profound beauty of the Gospel.
